A special exhibition by Pontefract Art Club is on show at Pontefract Museum.

“This exhibition showcases the amazing creativity and talent we have in Pontefract.
“The Art Club have produced a brilliant variety of artworks with something for everybody. I hope visitors will be inspired by the exhibition.”

Visitors can look forward to atmospheric landscapes from dawn to dusk, in rain and shine. Look out for beloved local landmarks, Yorkshire countryside and seaside favourites, or escape to distant shores.
The exhibition also includes captivating portraits, stunning still life and all walks of wildlife. It includes artwork in a range of media, from oil and acrylic to watercolour and pastel.
Most pieces are available to buy. All sales will be arranged through Pontefract Art Club at the end of the exhibition. Find out more at Pontefract Art Club - Wakefield Museums and Castles

Pontefract Art Club
Established in 1978 by local artist Alan Bracken, our amateur art club meets weekly to share ideas, promote and foster a love of art within the local community, and develop personal skills for each member. All abilities are welcome and members are encouraged to actively participate in workshops, social events and exhibitions.
Pontefract Art Club has always played a prominent role in the community, supporting Pontefract Civic Society in local exhibitions and events such as Wheelfest. And we support the Prince of Wales Hospice through sales of artwork and cards at St Mary’s Community Centre where we meet.
